Game Three: King of the Road vs Pounders
    Pounders 15 - Kings 11

The Pounders overcame a solid effort by King of da Road and three pulled hamstrings to earn a hard fought 15 - 11 victory to improve to 5 - 0 on the season.

On a rainy day with slippery field conditions, the Pounders battled from behind the whole game. Trailing 6 - 0 after the top of the first inning, the Pounders came right back with five runs in the bottom half to narrow the deficit to one run.

Yours truly did not show up at the game until the sixth inning so I don't know all the details but I do know the game was tied after five innings, 11 - 11. The Pounders were in a world of hurt with two teammates, Matt and Phil, pulling their hammies on the same play. Larry also injured one of his hamstrings but was able to stay in the game at second base.

The Pounders mounted the winning rally in the bottom of the sixth inning when Gator belted a two-run home run with one out. Trox and Steve P. followed with consecutive two out RBI hits to extend the lead to four. The never say die King of da Road squad managed to load the bases with two out in their last at bat but were unable to come up with the big hit. King of da Road lost their second game in a row to fall to 3 - 2 on the season.

The Pounders were led offensively by Larry, 3-3, 3 runs, 1 RBI; Rob, 3-4, 2 runs; Gator, 2-3, 3 RBI, 2 runs. Leading the way for the Road Kills were Kepa, 3-4 with a home run, 3 RBI, 3 runs and Matt, 3-4, 2 runs and 1 RBI.

In next week's action, the Pounders face No Hair while the Road Kills look to get back in the win column against the Long Shots.
