Game one:
Freds vs
Wild Wheels
Freds 9 - Wheels 5
Freddy's Electric (2-2) holds on to beat Wild Wheels (0-4) in a pitchers dual. Both teams struggled offensively for much of the game due to solid defense. Freddy's turned 3 double plays for the difference.
Wheels gave Freddy's trouble until the final out. Wheels had the tying run at the plate in the 7th but couldn't capitalize. They were led offensively by Rico (2 for 3, 2 RBI) and Eli (2 for 3, triple, 1 RBI).
Freddy's offensive spark came courtesy of the long ball. Jeff C. (2 for 3, HR, 5 RBI) hit a clutch grand slam that caught just enough wind to leave the park and gave Freddy's the lead for good. Kurt (1 for 3, HR, 3 RBI) kept his HR streak alive with an inside the park job.
Next week's action pits Freddy's versus Long Shots and Wild Wheels looks to break their skid against No Hair B.A.

Game Four:
Long Shots vs
Pounders
Pounders 21 - Long Shots 11
The Pounders improved to 4 - 0 by defeating the Long Shots 21 - 11 in a game that was close for four innings.
Klash led a Pounder hit parade by hitting for the cycle and smashing a tremendous home run over the pineapple containers in left field. Larry also went deep and collected four hits and four RBI. The league's leading hitter, Trox, continued his torrid pace and went 4-5 with 2 RBI and 2 runs. Geoff 4-5, 2 RBI, 3 runs; Matt, 4-5, 3 RBI and Gator, 3-4, 5 RBI also had big games at the plate.
The Pounders built a comfortable lead after three innings but the Long Shots closed to within one run, 10-9, in the fourth inning as Pounder starting pitcher Geoff, ran into control problems. For the second consecutive week, Gator was summoned in from left field to pitch in relief and he came through again by limiting the Long Shots to two runs over the last three innings.
Ray, 3-4, 2 runs; Chuck, 2-3, 2 RBI, 2 runs and Dale, 2-3, 1 RBI and 2 runs led the Long Shots who fell to-1 - 3 on the season.
In next week's action, the Pounders face the King of the Road while the Long Shots take on Fred's.
